Robert, it was a true blessing, like a good meal, to read your blog tonight. The connections back to the blistering summer of ’95 were the appetizer, but not the heart of the meal: it was your deep sense of caring for life, for the poor, for your family, and for Christ. I left challenged but also full of hope. Your KW friend,

Dean, your words honor me. The best thing about that summer was the people I spent it with. The fact that we’re still in touch more than 20 years later, spurring each other on along the path Jesus leads us down, is evidence of God’s goodness. Thanks for being part of my story, and more importantly, for your own faithful witness.

Hi Robert, have you heard of Church of All Nations in your area? It’s a communal-living church in Columbia Heights.

Indeed, I have. Just wrote about them a fair bit here: https://robertbuck.wordpress.com/2017/09/29/devolution-and-getting-in-the-right-way/ . We plan to check them out this coming Sunday. Thanks for mentioning them. I’m curious- how did you come across them?
